From a young age, I would relish the evening my parents went out so I could invite my friends over for dinner. I would cook (often not well), set the table, burn a new CD, spend an hour preening and put on my best dress to play hostess for the night.

My hobby soon turned into a career in Hospitality and Event Management in Tunbridge Wells and London and I submerged myself into a life of early mornings, late nights, living and breathing the life of a hotelier. Fast forward 10 years of an on the go lifestyle and dining out with friends and family, in my late 20’s I found myself more and more eager to host at home again. It gave me total freedom of what we could eat, what music we could listen to and I could spend time (often hours!!) planning and setting the table and perfecting my home to be a comfortable and inviting setting for the evening ahead. Hosting became ‘my thing’ all over again.

Wandering around antique shops, flea markets and homeware stores is my second favourite pastime and over the years I have gathered a plethora of trinkets, plates, glassware and linen.  My two favourite hobbies started to become more than a passion, turning into a vision for my very own business. A business where I could help create the perfect environment for social dining at home in a comfortable and sustainable way, curating unique event concepts and stunning tablescapes for others.

So here we are. Beyond The Table is the realisation of my passion and desire to curate unique and meaningful experiences within the surroundings of your own home.
